In 1979, in the village of Bratslav, Nemyrivsky district, Vinnytsia region, on the basis of the district enterprise Mezhkolkhozstroy, a research specialized plant was created. The enterprise worked unstable and, accordingly, there were problems with the implementation of plans. In May 1985, the enterprise was headed by Mykola Kyrylovych Mykhailenko, a young and energetic manager. From the first month of management, the enterprise fulfilled the plan and began to increase production volumes. In parallel, the manager was looking for new types of products. The first products were a milk pump, then a milk receiver, and bucket milking units.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, there were 12 million cows in Ukraine, and the production of milking units was not carried out. In this regard, Mykhailenko M.K. invited the chief designer from GSKB Riga, Valentin Oleksiyovych Drigo. Accordingly, the knowledge and experience of the chief milkman of the USSR made it possible to create a special school of designers and researchers, to develop new types of milking equipment and launch it into production. In parallel with this, the whole country was changing, and the market was completely changing. We began to study the needs of our partners and found out that a milking plant would not solve all the problems of agricultural producers. There is a problem of stall equipment, drinking, manure removal, lighting and ventilation, preparation and distribution of feed.

Having understood this, we set about solving new issues and began designing other necessary equipment. The number of cows in Ukraine was falling catastrophically and, accordingly, the market too, and the question arose of changing the sales technology. In 2000, when the raider attack on the enterprise, which lasted 2 years, ended, a decision was made to create a separate structure for conducting commercial activities, which made it possible to minimize risks to the enterprise’s property and lay the foundations for a new sales philosophy. Naturally, this gave an even greater effect than we expected. We entered and established ourselves in new markets, created representative offices and production facilities there. “Bratslav” is one of the first Ukrainian companies to be represented at the world exhibition in Hanover, which gave a strong impetus to equipment sales to the countries of the European Union. We are engaged in scientific research, equipment design, its production, installation and service. We solve issues of designing livestock complexes, building new ones and reconstructing existing ones. We took on solving problems in the mechanization of gardening and pig farming. Today we have a group of companies consisting of 16 enterprises located in Ukraine, Poland and other countries. In all markets we are known as a flexible, reliable partner and manufacturer of high-quality equipment at an adequate price.

Today “Bratslav” is the largest multi-profile industrial plant in Ukraine, developing traditional business projects and opening new ones that go beyond existing territories. Our specialization is agricultural and industrial equipment, industrial components, various metal and plastic products, including large-sized ones, as well as equipment for transporting various types of cargo. Some of the products are made “to order”, according to individual projects, and have unique technical characteristics.
